1: Caló des Moro
If you are looking to discover the scenic southeast of Mallorca, Caló Des Moro offers an encounter with the island's rawest, most pristine landscape. It is one of the region's most emblematic coastal landmarks, featuring crystalline water framed by dramatic cliffs. To experience it at its best, an early arrival (before 10:00 AM) is highly recommended, since the early sun illuminates the cove beautifully and the space down on the rocks fills up rather quickly, due to the main parking lot (a 20-minute walk from the cove) reaching capacity fast during the summer months.
2: Cala Deià
Situated just a short drive from the village center, Cala Deià is a beautiful, rugged inlet characterized by its pebble-strewn shore, historic fishing boat slipways, and two fantastic waterside restaurants overlooking the translucent blue and green water. Reaching the cove requires some logistical foresight: a gate at the beginning of the access road serves as a signal for parking availability. When open, you can drive down to the lower lot; if closed, you must utilize parking in the surrounding area before taking the scenic, 30-minute walk down. While the descent is manageable, the steep return climb on your way back requires a considered amount of effort and hydration.
3: Cala des Llombards
Located just a short distance from Caló des Moro, Cala des Llombards offers a more comfortable beach experience, while showcasing beautiful southeastern coastal views. It shares the same large parking lot as its neighbor, and your access to the shore is entirely effortless with no steep trails to navigate. If you are visiting with small children, Cala des Llombards is the perfect choice due to its expansive stretch of fine sand, exceptionally calm waters, and convenient beachside restaurant and bar.
4: Cala Anguilla
Cala Anguilla is situated in a peaceful residential pocket just a short distance from the city of Manacor. Its position away from major resorts allows for a more tranquil atmosphere, giving you easy access without heavy crowds, especially during the earlier hours. Because the cove faces directly south, it catches the full sunshine toward the end of the morning, creating the perfect environment for a few hours of sunbathing and swimming in the calm, transparent water.
