Keep in mind that as of 2024, disembarking inside Algar de Benagil is strictly forbidden regardless if you are on a kayak or boat.
Sete Vales Suspensos Hike
The Seven Hanging Valleys trail gathers some of the most emblematic beaches of the Algarve, such as Praia do Carvalho and Praia de Benagil, spanning 6 km (4 mi) one way to offer some of the most panoramic views of the rugged coast and cliffs. It is highly recommended to follow the trail in the morning, if you are visiting during the warm summer months. The experience lasts approximately one and a half hours and is designed to be smooth and natural for all ages, as the horses are incredibly calm and gentle, even for those with no prior riding experience.

If the water is your preferred element, a boat tour must be part of your itinerary, especially during the sunset hours, which is the most suitable time to witness the golden tones of the coastline and cliffs. Options range from shared to private tours, though if the sunset period is not your preference, there are several daytime sailboat alternatives that allow for a refreshing swim and a different perspective of the landscape.
