Shipping policy

Please see below our Shipping Policies for both our Digital Travel Guides and our Mail Club 'Simply Slow Mail'.

Digital Travel Guides

By purchasing a Digital Travel Guide at Simply Slow Travel, you will be acquiring a digital product that does not require shipping. After confirming your order and payment has been processed, you will be prompted to the order confirmation page, where a download link will be displayed so you can immediately download the guide(s) purchased. At the same time, an order confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address specified on the checkout process with a link for downloading the guide(s) purchased. This way, as long as you do not delete this e-mail, you will be able to open / re-download the guide.

Should you not receive the order confirmation e-mail, please get in touch at customer@simply-slow-traveler.com and state your order number, so we can send you a new download link.

Mail Club 'Simply Slow Mail'

Our Mail Club 'Simply Slow Mail' consists of a periodic membership subscription, whereby every edition, according to the periodicity displayed on the Product Page at the time of your purchase, will be shipped out to you by untracked Postal Mail. The items will be shipped out on definite days of the month, according to each product's periodicity, as stated in that product's Product Page, regardless of the day that you subscribe to the Mail Club. Shipping times may vary, depending on the different Postal Services involved in the destination country and their own service levels. From the Shipping Tests we performed to a few different geographies around the world, expected delivery times should be between 1 and 2 weeks, but may take as long as 6 weeks.

Please bear in mind that we cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery attributable to the different Postal Services involved. In particular, if you are aware of any strikes or other contingencies in the delivery chain in your own country or region that can be expected to cause delays or failed deliveries, please reach out to us to assess the best way to circumvent or reduce the delays. If we are made aware of any strikes or other contingencies affecting the Postal Services in Portugal, where we will ship from, we will get in touch with you to provide further information.

If your edition does not arrive after 30 days of being dispatched, please contact us at customer@simply-slow-traveler.com. If we still have stock of the Simply Slow Mail edition that did not arrive with you, we will re-send a new one free of charge. You will also receive every following edition as per the originally expected schedule. If we do not hold any more stock of the edition that did not arrive with you, we will use the payment already made towards the following month's edition that is yet to be paid for (and will skip the payment for that month). If the replacement, or else two or more different editions within 12 months, fail to arrive with you, and since it may hint at structural issues in the Postal Services of your Country and/or Region that are beyond our control, we reserve the right to cancel your subscription.
